Talent Training

The department emphasizes a balanced approach to talent training, integrating specialized education with general knowledge, enhancing innovation capacity, and expanding global perspectives. A flexible “2+X+Y” curriculum supports elite programs such as the Excellence Doctoral Initiative and undergraduate-to-doctoral integrated pathways.

Courses combining environmental science and AI have been introduced. In 2025, two dual-degree programs were launched: Environmental Science + Intelligent Science and Technology (AI focus) and Environmental Science + International Politics (Global Leadership focus).

Collaborative training is carried out with the CAS Institute of Urban Environment, alongside hands-on experience through partnerships with environmental enterprises and local governments. Students have demonstrated strong outcomes and are widely recognized for their comprehensive abilities.
